
Nitej is a primarily a property litigator. Focusing primarily on the relationship of landlord and tenant, he acts for clients in the private, public and third sectors. Nitej advises and represents landlords and property owners in actions for possession and the enforcement of leasehold covenants. He also regularly advises from the other side of the fence, acting for tenants, sub-tenants and mortgagees who need to take steps to protect their position following commencement of possession or enforcement action by a landlord. Lease renewals under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 form a signficant element of Nitej's practice and he acts for landlords and tenants in both unopposed and opposed lease renewal cases. He also regularly provides advice and assistance on the impact of insolvency on the landlord and tenant relationship.
